She's Got Legs

I didn't sleep very well last night so I was not mentally ready to get up and workout today.  But I got my butt in gear, got dressed, and headed to the gym.  Since Christine and I started meeting at the gym M/W/F in June, neither one of us has missed a day!  I think that's a pretty amazing accomplishment.  We hold each other accountable.

Today's workout was a leg circuit and we tried a new leg blaster challenge I found in Self magazine.  The exercise is a lunge with dumbbells doing a chopping motion with the weights. We did 3 sets of 18 on each leg.  The circuit also included weighted squat jumps, swing kicks, the cup challenge, cardio, and pushups.  At the end of our three circuits we had time to work our abs so we did bicycles and reverse crunches.  I was dripping with sweat by the end of our workout and my stomach was growling.  We worked our tails off.

As much as I didn't want to go, I was so glad I did.  As we made our way out of the gym, I felt how hard I worked today.  My body was tired, but my mind and soul were energized.  Now I was ready to face the day!

Torrey Pines Tuesday run with Kristin tomorrow!
